Abstract

ABSTRACT Diska Dwi Noviana, 2011; Influence of Leadership Style and Compensation toward Job Satisfaction at Hotel Sahid Jaya Lippo Cikarang. Skripsi: Jakarta, Human Resource Management Concentration, Management Study Program, Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. The purpose of the research are: 1) to know description for leadership style, compensation, and job satisfaction at Hotel Sahid Jaya Lippo Cikarang. 2) Test empirically influence of leadership style towards job satisfaction at Hotel Sahid Jaya Lippo Cikarang. 3) Test empirically influence of compensation towards job satisfaction at Hotel Sahid Jaya Lippo Cikarang. 4) Test empirically influence of leadership style and compensation towards job satisfaction at Hotel Sahid Jaya Lippo Cikarang. The analysis implemented in this research are simple regression and multiple regression analysis. The method of this research is simple random sampling, that taken 52 daily workers at Housekeeping Division, Food and Beverage Division, and Front Office Division. Data collecting by using quitionaire technic and cultivated using SPSS 17.0. The result of t test for leadership style is 2.978, and the signification is 0,033. This shows that there is an effect between leadership style toward job satisfication. The result of t test for compensation is 2.615, and the signification is 0,013. The shows that there is an effect between compensation toward job satisfication. The result of F test is 3.239, and the signification is 0,048. This show that there is an effect between leadership style and compensation toward job satisfication. The result of 2 is 0,117 or 11,7%. It means job satisfication is affected by leadership style and compensation as much as 11,7%. Keywords: leadership style, compensation, job satisfication.
