Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the investment, and education level have an impact on employment opportunities in transport equipment industry in 2010-2014. The research method used in this study is shaped Time Series of the 20102014 and the cross section amounts to 12 provinces in Indonesia, with ex post facto method. The data presented each year obtained from BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics) of the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Labour and BKPM. This study uses panel data regression model Fixed effect. Based on the results of simultaneous analysis, investment, and education level significantly affect employment in transportation equipment industry in Indonesia. Based on the partial results of the analysis, the investment effect significantly positive on employment, the level of basic education positive and significant effect on employment, the level of secondary education significantly positive effect on employment and higher education levels significantly positive effect on employment.
