Abstract

ABSTRACT Yana AstriMulia, 2016 : The Influence of Intinsic Job Values, Work Environment, Social Values and Job Market Considerations towards Accounting Major Student’s Career Choice in Taxation (Empirical study on Accounting Major Students of 3 Universities in Jakarta). This research aimed to get empirical evidence about the influence of Intinsic Job Values, Work Environment, Social Values and Job Market Considerations towards Accounting Major Student’s Career Choice in Taxation. Factors examined in this research include : Intinsic Job Values, Work Environment, Social Values and Job Market Considerations as independent variables and the career choice in taxation as the dependent variable. Data of this research is primary data. The amount of sample based on roscoe formula is 100 accounting Major Students of 3 Universities in Jakarta as respondents. The analytical methods used are descriptive analysis, analysis of classic assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis with the 5% level of significance. Hypothesis testing is using partial test (T-Test), simultaneous test (F-Test) and the coefficient of determination (R 2 ). This analysis using SPSS version 20. Results of the partial test showed that job intrinsic values and work environment has no effect on the accounting major student’s career choice in taxation. While the social values and job market considerations has positive significant on the accounting major student’s career choice in taxation. Simultaneous test shows that job intrinsic values, work environment, social values and job market considerations collectively-together have effect on the accounting major student’s career choice in taxation.
