Abstract

ISTI'ANAH AHMAD, Relationship between Emotional Intelligence with Performance At Teacher SMK Muhammadiyah 9 in Jakarta, Skripsi, Jakarta: Commerce Education Study Program, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. This study aims to obtain empirical data and facts are valid, valid and reliable about the relationship between Emotional Intelligence with Performance Teacher. The study was conducted over three months from the month of April 2012 until June 2012. The method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The population in this study were 9 teachers SMK Muhammadiyah Jakarta, as many as 54 people. Of the number popuasi, taken a sample of 48 people. The sampling was based on the determination of the sample table from the table, and Issac and Michael take a sample of 48 teachers with an error level of 5%. The sampling technique in this study is a simple random technique (Simple Random Sampling). To capture the data variable X (emotional intelligence), the questionnaire used Likert scale models, and for the data variable Y (the performance of teachers) use recap the performance of teachers SMK Muhammadiyah Jakarta 9 academic year 2010/2011. Before the instrument is used, tested the construct validity for the variable X. The result, of 48 grains statement variable X, known to many as 35 points valid statement, and 13 point drop statement. The results of reliability by using Cronbach Alpha formula for the variable X is 0.89. From the calculation results obtained by simple linear regression equation Y = 64.77 + 0.085 X. Test requirements analysis to test the normality of the error estimates of regression Y on X shows that the error estimates of regression Y on X is normally distributed. This is evidenced olh Lhitung calculations show that Lcount (1.23) < Ltable (1.29) using the test Liliefors at α = 0.05 significant level. In hypothesis testing, regression testing keberartian and linearity using analysis of Variance Table (ANOVA). From the test results obtained Fhitung keberartian regression Fcount (11.70) > Ftable (4.05) which states the regression mean. Linearity of regression test results obtained Fcount (0.72) < Ftable (1.99) which indicates that the regression model used is linear. The correlation coefficients are calculated using the formula produces rxy Product Moment of 0.451. The results of significant tests obtained Tcount = 3.44> Ttable = 1684, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence with performance on teacher SMK Muhammadiyah Jakarta 9. The calculation of the coefficient of determination showed by 20.34% Y variable is determined by the variable X.
