Abstract

WIWIT ROHAENI YULIANTI. The relationship between the discipline of students with student motivation in learning on the subjects of Accounting at SMKN 8 Jakarta. Thesis. Jakarta. Economics Education Studies Program, Concentration Accounting Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, in June 2012. The study was conducted to determine whether there is any relationship between student discipline and motivation in learning on the subjects of Accounting at SMKN 8 Jakarta. The method used is survey method with the primary data and correlational approaches. The data used come from the spread of questionnaires that have been conducted by researchers at the vocational school N 8 Jakarta. The sampling technique used in this study were randomly simple. Affordable population in this study were 121 students that is all class X Accounting and sample tables used by Isaac and Michael is 89 students. Technical data analysis starts by looking for a simple linear regression equation and the result is Y = 28.47 + 0.54 x. From these equations, the test requirements of normality test analysis was performed with an error of estimated regression Y on X obtained by test liliefors Lo <Lt (0.0553 <0.0939). That means that the data are normally distributed. To test the linearity of regression results obtained Fh<Ft (1.05 <1.72). This shows that the linear regression model form. To test keberartian obtained Th> Tt (3.95> 1.70) indicating that the regression equation means the (significant). The test results by using a correlation coefficient of Pearson product moment values obtained rxy = 0.347. This means there is a positive relationship between student discipline and motivation in learning in accounting subjects at SMK N 8 Jakarta. Of the t-test calculations obtained tcount> TTable, ie 3.95> 1.70 indicating a significant relationship between variables X with variables Y student discipline student motivation. And by testing the coefficient of determination to find out the extent to which student discipline can affect the motivation of students, obtained a value of 14.90%. The results suggested a positive relationship between student discipline and motivation in learning in accounting subjects at SMK N 8 Jakarta.
