Abstract

GHERTDZY GEJIFSA ERNAWAN. THE CORRELATION BETWEEN TIME MANAGEMENT TO STUDENTS ACHIEVeMENT CLASS X AT SMK DIPONEGORO 1 JAKARTA. Study Program of Economic Education, Concentration Study of Commerce Education, Departement Economics and administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2012. This study aimed to determine whether there is a correlation between yime management to students' achievement class X at SMK Diponegoro 1 Jakarta. his research was conducted for three months starting from Septembre 2011 until Febuary 2012. The method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The sampling technique in this study is simple random sampling. In the hypothesis of this research have a positive relationship between the use of free time with student achievement, the higher the free time students will increase student achievement. The hypothesis is tested using product moment correlation analysis test of Karl Pearson and t-test to determine significance of correlation both variables and coefficients of determination to know the size of the contribution of variable x to variable y. The analysis test by finding regression equation, that is Ŷ =63.50+0,183 X. After that data normality test by using Liliefors Formula and the result is Lcount = 0,090 in significant level 0,05 and Ltable = 0,115, so Lcount < Ltable. Mean that the mistake of prediction regression y to x has normal distribution. Hypothesis testing with regression significance test produces F value (16.83)> Ftable (3.98) which means the regression equation is significant. Linearity test F value of regression produces (1.16) <Ftable (2.25) thus concluded that the linear regression equation. Product Moment correlation coefficient calculation produces Furthermore rxy = 0.477 correlation coefficient significance test was done using t-test, resulting in t (4.10)> ttable (1.68). The results concluded that there is a positive correlation between use of free time with student achievement. With a coefficient of determination or decision test results obtained 22.79% variable student achievement is determined by the use of free time.
