Abstract

YUSIANNA TAMPUBOLON. Correlation Between Principal Leadership With Work Ethics Of The Teacher In SMK IDIPONEGORO East Jakarta. Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2012. This study aims to obtain empirical data and facts are valid and reliable and valid on the relationship between principal leadership with the work ethic I DIPONEGORO vocational school teachers in East Jakarta. The research was conducted at the Vocational School DIPONEGORO I, East Jakarta for two months, ie from the month of May to June 2012. The method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The study population was all of the teacher SMK Diponegoro I East Jakarta. While the accessibility of the population are 32 teachers. The technique is simple random sampling (simple random sampling) a total of 32 samples of sampling error of 5%. The instrument used to obtain the data variable X (the leadership of school principals), scale-shaped instrument used to vary the form of a questionnaire with 22 items of questions to the variable X with range score 33 and for the Y variable (teachers' work ethic) shaped instrument used to vary the scale of the questionnaire form as many as 37 points with a range of questions to score 61. Before the instrument is used, tested the validity of the content and the obtained results for the variable X. The resulting regression equation is Y = 33.72 + 1.298 X. Test requirements analysis is the normality test error of estimated regression Y on X to produce L liliefors test count = 0112, while the L table for n = 32 at a significant level of 0.05 is 0.15662. Because the count L <L Y table then error estimates for X are normally distributed. Testing linearity of regression produces F calculated <F table is -0.69 <2.57, so it was concluded that the linear equation regreasi. Of regression test produces Fhitung> Ftabel, namely 29.564> 4.17, meaning that the regression equation is significant. Correlation coefficient of Pearson Product Moment generating rxy = 0.705, then the correlation coefficient keberartian tested using t test and the resulting t count = 5.44 and t table = 1.70. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.705 is significant. The coefficient of deterrnination obtained at 49.63, % 49.63% which indicates that the work ethics of teachers is determined by the leadership of school principals. Calculation results concluded there is a positive relationship between school leadership on teachers' work ethic SMK I DIPONEGORO East Jakarta.
