Abstract

The Influence of Fear of Failure and Achievement Motivation to Procrastination of Thesis Preparation on College Students at Faculty of Economic State University of Jakarta.Thesis. Jakarta : Study Program of Economic Education,Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, 2018. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of fear of failure and achievement motivation to procrastination of thesis preparation on college students at Faculty of Economic State University of Jakarta. This research was conducted for seven months from October 2017 until May 2018. The method of research is survey with correlational approach. The population in this research were all college students at Faculty of Economic State University of Jakarta amounted to 426 students. Population affordability are college students of Faculty of Economic that have Bidik Misi scholarship amounted to 105 students. The technique sampling had been used proportional random sampling technique, so the sample in this research was 84 respondents. Based on the analysis requirements test, data has been normal and have a linear relationship. Based on the classic assumption test, the absence of multicollinearity for Tolerance value of fear of failure and achievement motivation was 0,974 > 0,1, and VIF value of 1,027 < 10. While, heteroskedasticity test with of Spearman’s rho test, the significance of fear of failure 0,260 > 0,05 and achievement motivation 0,914 > 0,05. Than regression equation that Ŷ = 88,190 + 0,134 X1 - 0,652 X2. Based on the hypothesis test was like F test and t test. First, based on the results of the F test with (Fcount > Ftable), that of 16,209 > 3,11. Second, based on the results of the t test with (tcount > ttable or -tcount < -ttable ), that fear of failure is 2,011 > 1,990 and achievement motivation of -4,929 < -1,990. Based on the coefficient determination test, fear of failure and achievement motivation simultaneously influence on procrastination of thesis preparation of 28,6% while the rest of 71,4% influence by the other factors not research. It is concluded that there are significant influence between fear of failure and achievement motivation on procrastination of thesis preparation to college students at Faculty of Economic State University of Jakarta.
