Abstract

DIRA NURMAWATI DEWI. The Correlation between Locus Of Control and Self Concept with Student Achievement At SMK Negeri 51 Jakarta. Jakarta: Business Education Studies Program, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2018. This study aims to obtain empirical data and facts that are appropriate, valid, and reliable about the correlation between locus of control and self-concept with student achievement in SMK Negeri 51 Jakarta. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 51 Jakarta for 6 months, starting from January to June 2018. The method used is survey method with correlational approach. This study uses the population of all students of class XI at SMK 51 Jakarta. The technique of sampling is by simple random technique as many as 127 students. Test requirements analysis using Kolmogorov Smirnov Test with Aymp test results. Sig (2tailed) of 0.200 thus, the Ho hypothesis is accepted because of significance> 0.05, hence, the data is inferred normally distributed. The resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 52.69 + 0.335X1 and Ŷ = 58.45 + 0.224X2. Furthermore, t-test is done and get tcount 12,567> ttable 1,657 for locus of control variable with student achievement and obtained tcount 9,533> ttable 1,657 for self concept variable with student achievement. Based on the processed data having tcount> ttable, then the data is positive and significant. Product Moment Coefficient from Pearson produces rxy = 0,747 for locus of control and significance value equal to 0.000, because significance <0,05 hence, it can be concluded there is positive and significant relation. While for self concept variable has rxy = 0,649 and significance value 0,000 because significance <0,05 hence, can be concluded there is positive and significant relation. Determination coefficient value R2 locus of control variable with student achievement of 55,5% and 41,6% show self concept variable with student achievement.
