Abstract

REZA PRATAMA PUTERA. The Correlation Between Situational Leadership Style With Teachers Performance of SMAN 36 Jakarta. Thesis. Jakarta: Studies Program Commerce Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. The research was conducted at SMAN 36 Jakarta, for four months from September 2012 until Desember 2012. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The population in this study are the teacher of SMAN 36 Jakarta with a popolation of 35 teachers. Then based on a sample from the population tables, sampled as many as 32 people with a sampling error of 5%. To capture data from these two variables are used questionnaire Likert scale models for Situational Leadership Style Principal (variable X) and teachers performance (Variable Y) used secondary data obtained from the teacher’s performance appraisal in January 2012 into April 2012. Before the instrument is used tested the validity for both variables. For variable X, from 36 points statement after statement validated there are 7 points that drop invalid, while meeting the criteria or a valid statement consists of 29 points. Reliability calculation of both variables using Cronbach alpha formula. The results of the X variable reliability of 0.938. These results prove that the instrument is reliable. The resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 20,30 + 0,484X. Test requirements analysis of the normality test error of estimated regression of Y on X to produce Lcount liliefors test = 0,081, while the Ltable for n = 32 at 0.05 significant level is 0.157. Because the Lcount < Ltable then an error estimate of Y on X is normally distributed. Testing linearity of regression produces Fcalculated <Ftable is 1,84 < 2.86, so it was concluded that the linear equation regreasi. From test significance regression produces Fcount > Ftable, which is 22,54> 4.17, meaning that the regression equation is significant. Correlation coefficient Product Moment generating rxy = 0,655, then performed the test significance correlation coefficient using the t test and the resulting tcount = 4,75 and Ttable = 1,70. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy = 0,655 is significant. The coefficient of determination obtained for 42,90% which shows that 42,90% of the variation of teachers performance is determined by the Situational Leadership Style Principal.
