Abstract

NAFIS KURNIANTO. The Influence of Return On Assets, Acid Test Ratio, and Dividend Payout Ratio on Holding Period of Shares in Mining Sector Company. Faculty of Economic State University of Jakarta. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of return on assets, acid test ratio, and dividend payout ratio on holding period of shares in mining sector listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2013-2016. This study uses secondary data with data collection techniques documentation, among others in the form of annual report and financial statement of companies listed on the IDX website, and shares trading data and sectoral stock price index recorded on the IDX statistics. Determination of the sample research using purposive sampling method and obtain 11 company sample with total observation of 44 companies. While the method of data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis and panel data regression analysis with Random Effect Model (REM) approach. The result of panel data regression analysis shoes that: (a) Return On Assets does not significantly affect on Holding Period of Shares, (b) Acid Test Ratio positive significantly affects on Holding Period of Shares, and (c) Dividend Payout Ratio negative significantly affects on Holding Period of Shares.
