Abstract

GILANG AULIA AL AKHYAR. 8105112270. CORRELATION BETWEEN LEARNING MOTIVATION AND SELF DIRECTED LEARNING READINESS ON COLLEGE STUDENTS AT ECONOMIC FACULTY OF STATE UNIVERSITY OF JAKARTA YEAR IN 2017. Study Program of Economics Education, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, 2018. This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between learning motivation and self directed learning readiness on students in Economic Faculty of State University of Jakarta year in 2017. This study was conducted for three months starting in early May to middle June 2018. The research method used was a survey method with the correlational approach. Affordable in the study population was human students in Economic Faculty of State University of Jakarta year in 2017 totaling 800 students, and the samples used were 243 by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used to obtain the data variable X (learning motivation) was measured using a questionnaire with Likert scale. For the Y variable (self directed learning readiness) were also measured using a questionnaire with Likert scale. Techniques of data analysis begins by finding the regression equation obtained was Ŷ = 45.69+0.312X. Normality test results Liliefors produce Lo = 0.054, while Lt = 0.057, this indicates that Lo < Lt, which means it can be concluded that Ho received the error estimates of regression Y on X is normally distributed. Testing the hypothesis by testing the significance of regression Fvalue = 141.18 while generating Ftable = 3.88. This means Fvalue > Ftable, then it is a statistical hypothesis testing Ho is rejected, which means that the regression equation is significant. Linearity regression F test result table while the calculated Fvalue 1.20 and Ftable 1.36. Fvalue (1.20) < Ftable (1.36) thus concluded that the linear regression equation. Product moment correlation coefficient test result, rvalue = 0.608. Further test the significance of the correlation coefficient using t-test, produces tvalue (11.88) > ttable (1.65). Based on the results of these studies concluded that there is a positive correlation between learning motivation and self directed learning readiness on students in Economic Faculty of State University of Jakarta year in 2017. With a determination coefficient test results obtained 36.94%, it can be concluded there is a positive correlation between learning motivation and self directed learning readiness on college students.
