Abstract

DENI ROMADONI. Relationship between Parenting Parents with Emotional Intelligence Class X in SMKN 31 Jakarta. Skripsi. Jakarta: Study Program Administration, Department of Economics and Business Administration, Faculty of Economics, University of Jakarta, January 2015. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between Parenting Parents with Emotional Intelligence Class X in SMKN 31 Jakarta. This study was conducted over four months from April to June 2015. The method used was survey method with the correlational approach. The study population was the entire class X in SMK Negeri 31 Jakarta as many as 168 students. The sample was all students of class X of Office Administration Department (AP1) and (AP2) at SMKN 31 Jakarta as many as 68 students. The samples used were 58 people by using simple random technique. Data analysis techniques starts with finding a simple linear regression equation and obtained Ŷ = 24,13 + 0,57 X. Test requirements analysis that estimates the error normality test Y over X with the test Liliefors obtained L value (0,0554) < L table (0.116) , This indicates that the regression model with normal distribution. While the linearity of the regression test obtained F value (0.80) < F table (1.88). It shows that the linear regression model. Test of hypothesis significance test known that the regression model means F value (14.86) > F table (4.01). of hypothesis testing with test product moment correlation coefficient of Pearson r xy = 0.458 obtained, then this means there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence with parenting parents. From the calculation of the t-test known t value 3.855 > t table = 1.67, so this shows that there are significant relationship (significant) between parenting parents with emotional intelligence. While the results of the calculation coefficient obtained value of 20.97% which shows that emotional intelligence is determined by parenting parents amounted to 20.97%. Results of this study have proved the existence of a positive relationship between parenting parents with emotional intelligence in class X in SMK 31 Jakarta. This means that if the higher the emotional intelligence of students it will also higher the parenting parents.
