Abstract

RIDWAN FIRMANO. The Correlation Between Achievement Motivation with Academic Achievement in The Field of Accounting Studies Students of SMKN 48 Jakarta. Script. Jakarta: Study Program of Commerce Education, Department of Economic and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2014. The aim of this research is to find the possibility a positive correlation between achievement motivation with academic achievement in the field of accounting studies students of SMKN 48 Jakarta. The period of this research was five months since August 2014 until December 2014. This research used survey methods by correlation approach. The population of this research were all students of class XI by 75 students majoring in accounting. From those population at affordable is taken 62 students for sample based on the sampling table of Isaac and Michael. Equation of the simple linear regression give the formula of regression Ŷ = 69,96 + 0,110X. Test analysis conditional test proved the validation on variable Y to variable is normal distributed. It is proved by the calculation that used Liliefors test at significant level (α) = 0,05 that indicates Lcount (0.075) < Ltable (0.113). The correlation coefficient is counted by Product Moment formula by Pearson indicates rxy 0.607. While the results of correlation coefficient significant test indicates tcount = 5,92 and ttable = 1,67. Because the result shows tcount > ttable, the research indicates there is a positive correlation between achievement motivation with academic achievement in the field of accounting studies students of SMKN 48. The count of determination coefficient test indicates 36,83% the variance of variable Y is determined by variable X.
