Abstract

MASRUROH. 8105150724. The Relationship Between Self Efficacy and Self Esteem with Procrastination in Students of the 50 Vocational High School Jakarta. Skripsi. Jakarta: Study Program of Economic Education, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, July 2019. This study aims to determine whether is Relationship Between Self Efficacy and Self Esteem with Procrastination in Students of the 50 Vocational High School Jakarta. This research was conducted for 6 months started from November 2018 – April 2019. The method used is survey method with correlation approach. The population is student in 50 Vocational High School Jakarta of 432 students. The sample used in this research is 192 students by using Proportional Random Sampling technique. Y variable data (procrastination) is the primary data, the instrument used is a questionnaire by using the Tuckman Procrastination Scale. X1 variable data (self efficacy) instrument used is a General Self Efficacy and X2 variable data (self esteem) used a Self Esteem Scale. Data analysis technique using SPSS program version 21.0 started by looking for regression equation abtained is Ý=-34,590+0,858X1+1,374X2. And then looking for test of requirement analysis that is normality test using Kolmogrov-Smirnov and Normal Probability Plot and can value X1 0,184 and X2 0,511 and Y 0,675 which all bigger than 0,05 hence normal distributed data. And then looking for the linearity significant value of linearity test of 0,00 which both have a linear relathionship because it has significant value < 0,05. Ftest has value of Fcount 96,023 > Ftable 3,04 then simultaneously affects Y. Ttest has value tcount X1 4,212 > ttable 1,973 and tcount X2 9,238 > ttable 1,973 then the conclusions X1 and X2 have an influence on Y. and Hypothesis test that is correlation coefficient using product moment ttest that value r > 0 that is 0,710 that means there is the strong relationship between X1 and X2 with Y. Test coefficient determination abtained result that 50,4% X1 and X2 contributes to the high and low Y. The conclusion of this research is that there is a significant negative relationship between X1 and X2 with Y in students of the 50 Vocational High School Jakarta. In X1 the indicator with the lowest comparison is the strength, researchers suggest the teachers gives positive direction and applies methods that make students confident in their abilities. At the lowest X2 indicator, which is felling of belonging, researchers suggest that students do not force everyone to accept it and must be positive thinking and try to do your best and develop their potential to be accepted by environment and feel valuable to others.
