Abstract

Ummi Mulia Tama, The Correlation Between Adversity Quotient With Learning Achievement of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 8 Jakarta. Thesis. Jakarta: Commerce Education Studies Program, Department of Economics and Administration, School of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2015. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the adversity quotient of students with learning achievement in class XI student of MAN 8 using empirical data and facts are valid, valid and reliable. The research was conducted in MAN 8 Jakarta for 4 months from September to Desember 2014. The research method used was a survey method with the correlational approach. Sampling technique in this study in simple random technique. The population in this study were all of students in MAN 8. While the population of Inaccessibility is class XI IPS I&2 60 people. The sampling technique used a total of 51 people with an eror level of 5%. The instrument used to obtain the data variable X (Adversity Quotient) and variable Y (Learning Achievement) using shaped instrument with a Likert scale questionnaire were 30 point declaration and secondary data from semester 2 of the lessons rapot 2013/2014. Before the instrument is used, tested the validity and the obtained results for the variable X by 26 points valid and 4 point drop. Procced with the test reliability with Cronbach Alpha formula. X variable relibiality results for 0,866, thus the reliability of the variable X can be said to be very high. Test requirements analysis, estimation error normality test regression Y on X to produce Lilifors test L count = 0,097 while L table = 0,124, for L count < L table then error estimates Y over X is normally distributed. The resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 58,10 + 0,190X. Linearity of regression test result F count< F table is 0,85<2,15 so it’s concluded thet the equation is linear. Test the significance of regression produces F count> F table is 17,93 > 4,03, meaning that the regression equation is significant. Correlation coefficients were calculated using the formula of Pearson Product Moment generating rxy = 0,518 correlation significance test is then performed using t-test and resulting t count = 4,23 > t table = 1,68, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between students Adversity Quotient a class XI IPS with student achievement MAN 8 in Jakarta. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy = 0,518 is significant. The coefficient of determination were obtained for 26,79%, 26,79% which shows that student achievement is determined by Adversity Quotient. The calculation result concluded that a positive relationship exists between Adversity Quotient with learning achievement in class XI IPS student of MAN 8 in east Jakarta.
