Abstract
Farhan Aryo Abimanyu, 2019; The Effect of Firm Performance and Board Characteristic to Executice Compensation on Banking Sector Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Period 2014-2017. Thesis, Jakarta: Concentration in Finance, Study Program of Management, Faculty of Economic, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of of Firm Performance and Board Characteristic to Executice Compensation on Banking Sector Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Period 2014-2017. Independent variables of this study are Return On Asset (ROA), Tobin’s Q, Board Meeting Frequency, and Independent Board Proportion. While dependent variable is Executive Compensation. The data used in this study is annual report of bank sectors that published by IDX during 2014-2017. The sampling method of this study is purposive sampling technique. The research model in this study employs pane data analysis with Fixed Effect Model approach. The empirical result shows that Return On Asset (ROA) has positive significantly influences to Executive Compensation, whlie Tobin’s Q, Board Meeting Frequency, and Independent Board Proportion have insignificantly influences to Executive Compensation.
