Abstract
ABSTRACT NINUK WIDYASTUTI. 8105133154. The Correlation Between Peer Environment and Student’s Learning Motivation at SMA Negeri 58 Jakarta. Thesis, Jakarta: Study Program Office Administration, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, University of Jakarta. 2017. The purpose of this research is to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to know the the correlation between peer environment and Student’s learning motivation at SMA Negeri 58 Jakarta. As for the background of this writing is because motivation is a very important factor in the learning process. Providing motivation to students will make them motivated to learn better and they can be aware of the benefits of learning and goals. This research have been done for two months since May 2017 until June 2017. The method of research is survey method with correlation approach, while the data is from instrument’s tested to student of SMA Negeri 58 Jakarta. The populations research consist all students of SMA Negeri 58 Jakarta, 158 students of XI class for sample with proportional random sampling methods. Instrument using data from X variable about peer environment and Y variable about learning motivation by questionnaire using likert scale. The analysis test by finding regression equation, that is Y = 29,57 + 0,466X, while analysis rules test that is test normalitas while analysis rules test that is test normalitas regression estimation error Y on X with test liliefors got Lhitung = 0,035 < Ltabel = 0,071, this means sample comes from population normal distribution. Significancy test and regression linearity by using analysis table varians (anava) got regression similarity Fhitung (37,33) < Ftabel (3,91) that declare regression very mean with regression linierity test that produce Fhitung (1,72) < Ftabel (1,98) that show that regression model that used linier correlation coefficient hypothesis test is done with formula product moment produce rxy as big as 0,4394. Significancy Because thitung > ttabel, determination coefficient test obtain result KD as big as 19,31% which mean peer environment give influence equal to 19,31% to motivation learning. In the variable X, the lowest indicator is learning achievement that is 24,748% and the highest is the future expectation that is 25,676%. While for Y variable, the lowest indicator is learning to solve the problem that is 32,57% and the highest is the feeling of being recognized/received by the peer group that is equal to 34,63%. From watchfulness result so researcher can conclude that there are positive significant connection between peer environment and student’s learning motivation at SMA Negeri 58 Jakarta.
