Abstract
WAHYU RAMADHAN S, The Correlation Between Career Development With Performance at State Employee General Secretariat Division, Ministry of Trade Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta. Study Program Of Commerce Education, Department Of Economics and Administration, Faculty Of Economics, State University Of Jakarta, January 2014. The research was conducted at Ministry of Trade Republic of Indonesia, for four months from September 2014 until January 2015. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. Population in this research is all State Employee General Secretariat Division Ministry of Trade, where as the possible populations who employees are Organization and Employees Bureau, amounting to 35 people. The technique which is used in gathering the sample was simple random sampling with amount about 32 people. The resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 70,95 + 0,20 X. Test requirements analysis of the normality test error of estimated regression of Y on X to produce Lcount liliefors test = 0,094, while the Ltable for n = 32 at 0,05 significant level is 0,157. Because the Lcount < Ltable then an error estimate of Y on X is normally distributed. Testing linearity of regression produces Fcount < Ftable is 0,91 < 2,34, so it was concluded that the linear equation regression. From hypotheses test did result that gain significance regression produces Fcount > Ftable which is 4,89 > 4,17, meaning that the regression equation is significant. Correlation coefficient of Pearson Product Moment generating rxy = 0,374, then performed the test significance correlation coefficient using the t test and the resulting tcount = 2,211 and ttable = 1,697. It can be concluded that positive correlation between career development and performance existed, so the coefficient is significant . The coefficient of determination obtained for 14,01% which shows that 14,01% of the variation of performance is determined by the career development.
