Abstract
HELSA NOVELIA. 8105161697. The Effect of Profitability and Firm Size on Firm Value in Manufacturing Companies Listed on The Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2018. Thesis. Jakarta: Faculty of Economics. State University of Jakarta. 2020. This study aims to determined the effect of profitability and firm size on firm value in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2018 both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative research method with a multiple liniear regression analysis approach with an independent variable of profitability that is proxied by Return On Equity (ROE) and firm size that is proxied by Ln total asset with the dependent variable firm value which is proxied by Tobin’s Q. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from manufacturing company financial reports from 2017-2018. The results showed that the profitability and firm size of a partially has a positive and significant effect on firm value. While the profitability and firm size of a simultaneously have a significant effect on firm value. Keywords: Firm Value, Profitability, and Company Size
