Abstract

ABSTRACT DASTIRAH. Correlation Between Self Efficacy With Test Anxiety at SMKN 8 Jakarta. Scientific Paper, Jakarta : Study Program of Economic Aducation, Concentration of Office Administration Education, Economics and Administration Department, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2012. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-efficacy with Test Anxiety in Mathematics at SMK 8 Jakarta. The study was conducted over three months from August to November 2011. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The study population was all students SMK 8 Jakarta class XII which consists of three departments, namely the Administrative Offices, Accounts, and Marketing. Population affordable of this study is XII class students who numbered 107 Office Administration students. The sample used by 84 students by using proportional random technique. Data variable Y (Tes Anxietyt) is the primary data using questionnaires shaped instrument. While the data variable X (Self Efficacy) using instruments New General Self-Efficacy (NGSE) developed by Gilad Chen, et al, which was measured using a Likert scale with internal consistency reliability of a = 0.86. Prior to use, tested the validity of construct (Construct Validity) through the validation process of calculating the correlation coefficient score points with a total score and reliability testing with Cronbach alpha formula. The results of the reliability of the instrument variable Y (Facing Anxiety Test) of 0.906. Techniques of data analysis begins with finding the regression equation, ie Y = 169.83 - 2.389X. Then test requirements analysis to test for normality with the results L hitung = 0071 is smaller than L , then the data are normally distributed. Hypothesis test is then performed by the F test in ANAVA tables generating Fhitung (38.96)> Ftabel (3.96), this means that X (Self Efficacy) significantly affect the Y (Anxiety face test). T test was then performed to generate thitung of X (Self Efficacy) of -6.24 and -1.67 for t tabel table . Because-t hitung <-t , it can be concluded that there is a negative influence between self efficacy with anxiety for the test. The results of these studies concluded that there are negative effects of self-efficacy with test anxiety in mathematics courses. Then the coefficient of determination of test results obtained 32.21%, variable Tes Anxiety (Y) is determined by the variable X (Self Efficacy).
