Abstract
ABSTRACT MELA SARI. The Correlation Between Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention on the employees of AUTO 2000 Salemba Skripsi, Jakarta: Economic Education Program, Concentration Education Office Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. June 2016. The objective of this research is to determine whether there is a correlation between job satisfaction with turnover intention on the employees of AUTO 2000 Salemba. This research was conducted for three months starting on March 2016 to May 2016. The research method used is survey method with correlational approach. The population of this research all employees of AUTO 2000 Salemba which are consisted of 67 employees. Based on the population and sample tables with 5% error ratio, this research obtains 55 employees as samples using proportional random sample. Data from variable X on job satisfaction which is the primary data is in the form of questionnaires and variable Y on turnover intention which is the primary data is in the form of questionnaires. Test requirements analysis which is done by finding the regression equation obtaineds Y = 131,72 - 0,557X. Liliefors normality test results Lcount = 0,077 dan L table =0,119 at the significance level (a)= 0,05 to the number of samples (n) 55. Since Lcount = (0,077) < Ltable = (0,119) the X and Y variables have normal distribution. Hypothesis testing by using significance regression test results Fcount (30,50) >Ftable (4,02) shows significant regression equation. Linear regression test results Fcount (0,06) >Ftable (1,91); therefore, Fcount < Ftable. We can conclude that the regression equation model is linier. Product moment corelation coefficient test results rcount = -0,604. T-test results tcount (-5,52) < ttable (-1,67). Thus, it can be stated that correlation coefficient r xy = -0,604 is significant. Determination coefficient obtained at 36,53% indicates that 36,53% of turnover intentions is determined by job satisfaction and 63,47% is determined by other variables which are not examined. The lowest job satisfaction dimension is supervision. Employees find that their supervisor does not give enough instruction in performing their job or opportunities for the employees to deliver ideas or concepts. Therefore, the employees have low job satisfaction in supervision because of those reasons. Based on the research result, there is negative and significant correlation between job satisfaction and turnover intention on employees AUTO 2000 Salemba. Keywords: Job Satisfaction, Turnover Intention
