Abstract

ABSTRAK AZKA KHOIRUN NISA. Influence The Literacy Rate, School Enrollment Ratio Against Poverty in 5 ASEAN Countries on 2010-2014. Education Cooperative Economics, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2017 This study aims to determine whether the literacy rate, and school enrollment ratio have an influence against poverty in 5 ASEAN countries, which is Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Philippines, and Thailand. The data used in this research is a form of panel data, with ex post facto method. The data presented annually from each country obtained from World bank. This study uses the regression equation with LSDV (Least Square Dummy Variable) model. Based on the result of partial analysis, the literacy rate have a negative and insignificant influence against poverty in 5 ASEAN countries on 2010-2014, meanwhile the school ratio have a negative and significant influence against poverty in 5 ASEAN countries on 2010-2014. Then, based on the result of simultaneous analysis, the literacy rate and the school enrollment have a significant influence against poverty in 5 ASEAN countries on 2010-2015.
