Abstract
ABSTRACT Nella Damayanti Hutauruk. The Impact of Fiscal Policy Credibility on Inflation in Indonesia. Cooperative Economics Education, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2016. The purpose of this research is to look how the impact of fiscal policy credibility on inflation in Indonesia. The data was taken in this study is a quarter of the data in Central Bank of Indonesia, BPS and the Ministry of Finance which covers the period 2001 (1) through 2013 (4). This study used a simple multiple linear regression model using eviews 8 application, the data show that the credibility of fiscal policy results in the deficit rules was not significant about 0.73 with a -0.24 of negative coefficient and shows that the credibility of the deficit rules is still less credible in an inflationary environment. As for the credibility of debt rules is 0.003 with a -0.31 of negative coefficient and shows that the credibility of debt rules has good credibility and able to decrease the inflation, As for the discretionary was not significant about 0.59 with -0.004 of negative coefficient then explained the inflation. Then the last variable is openness as seen from the real sector was export and import significant about 0.01 with 0.07 positive coefficient and be impacted to inflation. So it can be said that the credible fiscal policy on inflation proved to be statistically more quickly to achieve the balancing rather than fiscal policy which not credible.
