Abstract

ABSTRACT FAUZAN ILHAMI.”The Influence of economic growth, level of education, and the unemployment rate to unequal income distributions in Jakarta year 20062013. Cooperative Economics Education, Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, University of Jakarta, in 2015. Lecturer Advisor: Karuniana Dianta S.IP, ME Dan Dicky Iranto SE, M.Si. This research aims to determine whether economic growth, level of education and the unemployment rate has an influence on the inequality of income distribution in Jakarta in 2006-2013. The method used in this study is in the form of time series and cross section in 2006-2013 amounted to 6 cities / districts in Jakarta, with the ex post facto method. Data is presented each year obtained from BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics). This study uses panel data regression model results obtained random effect equation Y = -0.927 + -0,061X1 + 0,148X2 + 0,023X3. Based on the analysis simultaneously, economic growth, level of education, the unemployment rate significantly affect the inequality of income distribution in Jakarta. Based on the analysis of the partial results, economic growth significantly negative effect on the unequal distribution of income, education levels significantly positive striving toward inequality of income distribution, and the latest unemployment rate against unequal distribution of income. Variations influence of three independent variables can be known by R2 value of 0.45 Thus, 45% of the variation inequality of income distribution is influenced by economic growth, level of education, unemployment and the rest influenced by other factors outside the research model.
