Abstract

ABSTRACT JANUFAKHAR AMIN, Influence Of Growth, Level Of Education, And Manufacturing Industry On Income Inequality In Java Island Priode 20072012. Education on Cooperative Economics, Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2015. This research aims to determine the influence of growth, level of education, and manufacturing industry on income inequality. Using secondary panel data that combine from time series and cross section, which published by BPS and all datas processing using Eviews 7. This research was carried out by taking the Gini index data for income inequality, constant price GDP for economic growth, the average length of schooling of the population for level of education and the number of large-medium processing industry for the manufacturing industry. The analysis showed that: Influence of economic growth and level of education are positive to income inequality. While the manufacturing industry is not significant on income inequality. The influence of economic growth and level of education on income distribution is described in the regression equation Y = -0.151739 + 5.33E-07X1 + 0.048061X2 + e. Meaning that if there is increase one per cent of economic growth would lead to inequality of income distribution by 5.33E-07. If there is increase one per cent of the level of education would lead to income inequality by 0.048061. R2 value of 0.7280 indicates that 72.80% of the income inequality can be explained by two independent variables are economic growth and level of education. Keywords: Growth, Level of Education, Manufacturing industry, Income Inequality
