Abstract

ADITYA. The Correlation Between Coping Strategy with Self Adjustment In First Year Student of Faculty of Economics State University of Jakarta. Thesis. Study Program of Economic Education. Concentration in Accounting Education. Departement of Economics and Administration. Faculty of Economics. State University of Jakarta. June 2013. The purpose of this research is to get information about how far the relationship between Coping Strategy with Self Adjustment In First Year Student of Faculty of Economics State University of Jakarta. The research method that used is survey method with a correlation approach. Data were collected using a scale of Coping Strategy and Self Adjustment scale. The sampling technique was conducted by proportional random sampling . The attainable population in this research were students of Economic Education class of 2012 Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta totaling 89 students and the sample used by the table Isacc and Michael is 72 students. The simple linear regression and resulted Ŷ= 105.14 + 0,42X. From the regression equation data normality test by using liliefors test which resulted L o < Lt (0,0765<0,1021). It showed that the data had been normally distributed. For linearity regression test the result is F h < Ft (0,10 < 1,76) so, it indicated that the data had been linear. While for the regression significant, the result is Fh > Ft (12,69 > 3,98) it indicated that the data had been significant. The result of coefficient correlation test of product moment by Pearson is rxy = 0,394 it means there is a positive correlation between Coping Strategy with Self Adjustment. The calculation of t-test showed t account > ttable, 3,59 > 1,67. It showed a significance correlation between Coping Strategy with Self Adjustment In First Year Student of Faculty of Economics State University of Jakarta.
