Abstract

ABSTRACT SUGIARTI. Influence of Education and Unemployment Rate To Poverty Population In Indonesia. Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2012. This study aimed (1) to describe the level of education, unemployment, poverty and the influence of educational level and unemployment on poverty population in Indonesia, (2) to determine the effect of educational level of the poverty population in Indonesia, (3) to determine the effect of the unemployment on poverty population in Indonesia. The study was conducted in 33 provinces in Indonesia in 2006-2010. This study uses Expose Facto. In this study, the data used the secondary data is data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics Indonesia and other supporting data. The analytical method used is panel data analysis using the Fixed Effects Model estimates (FEM) in Eviews6 program, and using Excel and SPSS program. The results of this study was obtained value of the regression coefficients for each variable to the equation Y (KM) = 28.114-2.202 (PD) + 0.6776 (PG) shows that: (1) variable diproksi education with an average length of the school and the negative effecthave a significant impact on poverty and the t-statistic value of 9.235 and has a coefficient of 2.202, (2) unemployment variable has positive and significant impact on poverty population in Indonesia and has a t-statistic value of 17.519 and has a coefficient of 0.6776, (3 ) two independent variables can explain the diversity of value to a variable percentage of poverty to the value of R-Square of 0.9902.
