Abstract
ABSTRACT Ni Ketut Novi Kurniati, 2013; The Influence of Financial Ratio on Financial Distress: Evidence from Bank Go Public Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2008-2011. Skripsi, Jakarta: Concentration of Financial Management, Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to know the effect financial ratio on financial distress evidence from bank go public listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 20082011. This study use the financial ratios of CAMEL to determine the financial performance with five aspects, Capital, Assets, Management, Earning and Liqudity. The independent variabel in this study are CAR, NIM, LDR, MVE/BVD, RE/TA and ROE as a proxy CAMEL ratios. As for the dependent variabel is a dummy variabel with the categories of healthy banks and unhealthy banks. The samples are 24 bank go public listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2008-2011. The type of data used are secondary data derived from published financial statements. The method in this study is analysis logistic regeression. The empirical results show ratio CAR, NIM, LDR, MVE/BVD, RE/TA and ROE that simultaneous can explain the model of analysis logistic regression. Partially, ratio CAR, NIM and ROE have negative and significant effect on financial distress. Ratio LDR and RE/TA have positive and significant effect on financial distress. Further, ratio MVE/BVD have positive and do not significant effect on financial distress. Keywords: Banking, CAMEL ratio, CAR, NIM, LDR, MVE/BVD, RE/TA, ROE
