Abstract

Esa Maulana Gandara, 2014: The Influence of Earnings Management and Leverage Against Stock Return on Consumer Goods Industry Which Listed in IDX Year 2009-2011. The study aims to determine the influence of earnings management and leverage on stock return. Factors tested in this study is earnings management and leverage as independent variables while stock return as dependent variable. The study sample consists of 78 consumer goods industry which listed in IDX year 20092011. The data used in this study is secondary data and sample selection by using purposive sampling method. Analysis tool used is multiple linear regression analysis at a significance 5%. The resutlts of stimultaneoys hypothesis testing showed that both of independent variables which are earnings management and leverage affect on stock return. Meanwhile, the partial results indicate leverage affecting stock return. But earnings management not affect toward stock return.
