Abstract

Ginanjar Adi Saputra, 2014: Effects of Profitability and Debt Policy Against Corporate Value. Thesis Department of Accounting Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. This study aims to determine the effect of profitability and debt policies based on corporate value and developed from research Ikbal et al. (2011). The dependent variable in this study is the value of the company, and the independent variables in this study are profitability and debt policy. profitability measured by using a proxy ROE (Return On Equity), debt policy is measured by proxy DER (Debt Equity Ratio) and the value of the company is measured by proxy PBV (Price to Book Value). This study took a sample of LQ-45 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the years 2010-2012. The data obtained by purposive sampling technique and using regression analysis method. Simultaneous hypothesis testing results indicate that profitability and debt policies simultaneously affect the value of the company. Partial results of hypothesis testing showed that the profitability effect on the value of the company while the debt policy has no effect on firm value.
