Abstract
Bahtiar Suwardi, 2012; EFFECT OF SHORT-TERM DEBT AND SHORT-TERM INVESTMENTS, NET PROFIT AFTER TAX ON MANUFACTURING COMPANIES LISTED IN INDONESIA STOCK EXCHANGE. Accounting Department. S1 Accounting Studies Program. State University of Jakarta. Of 2012. In general, the purpose of this study were: 1) To determine whether short-term debt affects the net profit after tax, 2) To determine whether short-term investments affects net profit after tax. This study presents an empirical test again using purposive sampling techniques for data collection technique is the technique of determining the sample with certain criteria. Data obtained by 36 firms over the period 2008-2010 that meet the criteria. Data analysis is done using the method of Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS 16. The results indicate that simultaneous short-term debt, short-term investments affect net income and short-term debt partially affects the net profit after tax, investment affects the net profit after tax. The conclusion that shortterm debt and the effect on net investment in manufacturing companies located in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Advice from researcher to researcher further more use of independent variables that influence earnings.
