Abstract
Hesty Margaretha, 2012: Effect of Price to Book Value (PBV) and Net Profit Margin (NPM) to Stocks Return "(Case Studies In Food And Beverage Companies Listed On The Indonesia Stock Exchange). Supervisor I and II; Yunika Murdayanti, SE, M.Si and M. Yasser Arafat, SE, Akt., MM. Earnings can be used as a parameter in measuring the success of the company as reflected in performance management. For the investor profits is often used as a basis for investment decisions.Financial ratios have a future-oriented nature and can be used for the description of the company's financial condition so that we can know how big the profit level that will impact on the achievement gains of shares owned. This study aims to determine the ability of the ratio of stocks and financial ratios in assessing the stock return. Object of this study was food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The data used is the Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) in 2008 until 2010. Dependent variable used is the stock return, while the independent variable is Price to Book Value (PBV) and Net Profit Margin (NPM).Statistical testing using multiple regression analysis approach with a significance level of 5%.Conclusions drawn by the test results of testing the F-test and T-test. Based on the results of the analysis indicate the regression equation is Y= 0,615+0,259 PBV + 10,533 NPM + e. Simultaneously there is the influence of the Price to Book Value (PBV) and Net Profit Margin (NPM) on stock returns. These effects by 29.2% while the rest is influenced another factors is not examined in this study. The second partially independent variables affect stock returns. By looking at these independent variables investors can make predictions about how much the rate of return obtained by investors in investing.
