Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of Firm Diversification on Cash Holding on Manufacture Sectors Listed by Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Period 2012-2016. Independent Variabel of this study is Diversification. While dependent variabel is Cash Holding. Then the writter also add some control variables : cash flow, net working capital, profitabiliy and leverage. The data used in this study are from annual report and financial statement of manufacture sectors that published by IDX during 2012-2016. The sampling methode of this study is purposive sampling technique with unbalance panel data. The research model in this study employs panel data analysis with Fixed Effect Model approach. The empirical result shows that diversification has significantly negatif influences to Cash Holding in model CHD1 and in model CHD2. Net Working Capital has significantly positif influence to cash holding for both models and cash flow has unfignificantly positif to model CHD1 dan negatif unsignificantly in model CHD2. Profitability and leverage has unfignificantly negatif influence to cash holding .
