Abstract

MAYA PUSPA LESTARI, Analysis of Factors Affecting Dividend Policy in Manufacturing Companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University, 2019. This study to obtain empirical evidence of factors (profitability, company growth rates, insider ownership, board independence and business risk) that affect dividend policy. This research uses purposive sampling technique in determining sample selection. A total of 23 companies from 165 companies were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with 3 years of observation, starting from 2015 to 2017, resulting in 65 research observations. Dividend policy is measured using a dividend payout ratio. The hypothesis test used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis in panel data. Based on the research that has been done, the conclusions from the results of the study state that Profitability and Board independence have a significant negative effect on dividend policy. Business risk has a significant positive effect on dividend policy. Meanwhile, the company's growth rate and Insider Ownership have no significant effect on dividend policy.
