Abstract

GIRI SAPUTRO. The Effect of External Debt and Foreign Investment to Gross Domestic Product in Indonesia Year 1987-2017. Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University. 2019. This study aims to determine the effect of external debt and foreign investment to gross domestic product. The period in this study was 30 years, namely 1987-2017. This study uses secondary data in the form of annual reports of Bank Indonesia and Badan Pusat Statistik and other institutions. The dependent variable in this study is gross domestic product and independent variables in the form of foreign debt and foreign investment. The influence and relationship of variables were tested using multiple linear analysis methods. The test results show that external debt has a significant positive effect to gross domestic product and foreign investment also has a positive but not significant effect to gross domestic product. Thus the statement obtained in the same direction between the estimation results with the hypothesis proposed. Keywords : external debt, foreign investment, gross domestic product.
