Abstract

TIARA PURNAMASARI. The Effect of Control Risk and Litigation Risk on Audit Fees in Manufacturing Companies Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Period 2013- 2017. Faculty of Economics. Universitas Negeri Jakarta. 2019. This study aims to examine the effect of control risk and litigation risk on audit fees in manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study uses secondary data obtained from the annual report of manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013 – 2017. This study used as many as 65 samples that selected by purposive sampling method. The effect of control risk, litigation risk, and audit fees are tested using multiple regression analysis which was calculated using Eviews 10 software. Before conducted the regression test, it is examined by using the classical assumption tests. This study uses agency theory to formulate two hypothesis that lead to the result of the analysis. The results of this study showed that control risk have significant positive association with audit fees. Litigation risk have significant negative association with audit fees.
