Abstract

NENDEN SITI FAUZIAH, The Effect Of Parenting Style and Academic Motivation On Student Achievement Class XI At SMK Bina Dharma Jakarta. This research was conducted at the SMK Bina Dharma Jakarta., for 6 months from February to June 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parenting style and academic motivation on student achievement Class XI At SMK Bina Dharma Jakarta.. The research method that the researchers used was the survey method, the population used was all grade XI students at SMK Bina Dharma Jakarta in the 2018/2019 school year. The sampling technique used was a simple random sampling technique of 123 people. Test requirements analysis, namely the normality test using the Kolmogorov Smirnov test with the test results can be known as the value of Asymp. Sig the residual value of the whole variable is 0.200. it can be concluded that the value is greater than 0.05 so that the overall data is considered normal. The resulting regression equation between X1 and Y is Ŷ = 63,074 + 0.382 X1. Then the partial regression coefficient test (t test) and the results obtained t count 7,085> t table 1.65765 for parenting style (X1) thus it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between parenting style and student achievement (Y). While the regression equation produced between X2 and Y is Ŷ = 68400 + 0,277 X2. Then the partial regression coefficient test (t test) and the results obtained t count 6,673> t table 1.65765 for academic motivation (X2) can thus be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect between learning motivation and student achievement (Y). The coefficient of determination obtained is 0,293 for parenting style on learning achievent, and 0,269 for learning motivation on learning achievement. Then it can be concluded that student achievement is determined by parenting style of 29,3% and learning motivation of 26,9%, and the remainder is determined by other variables.
