Abstract
RAHMAT HIDAYAT, The effect of Interest Rates, Gross Domestic Product and Corruption Perception Index on Foreign Direct Investment in ASEAN-6. Economic Education, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2020. Foreign direct investment is an indicator that supports economic development in developing countries that still have limited capital in economic development efforts. This study aims to analyze the effect of interest rates, gross domestic product and the corruption perception index on foreign direct investment in ASEAN-6 2011-2018. 6 ASEAN countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and the Philippines. This study uses secondary data using panel data analysis techniques with fixed effect models. This study found that gross domestic product has a positive and significant impact on foreign direct investment. Then, the corruption perception index also has a negative and significant effect on foreign direct investment. While interest rates are not significant and are negative. ASEAN countries must improve the quality of government policies in an effort to improve the factors that can attract more foreign direct investment.
