Abstract

ABSTRACT DEWI RATNASARI. 8105097439. The Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence With Job Stress On Employee At PT. Buanatechno Cipta Solusi. Skripsi, Jakarta: Economics Education Studies Program. Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta. 2016. This research conduted to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to know the relationship between emotional intelligence with job stress on employee at PT. Buanatechno Cipta Solusi. This research has been don for 1 month since Aprl until May 2016. The method of research is survey method with correlation approach. The populations research was all of employee at PT. Buanatechno Cipta Solusi with total 160 employees, with 110 employees as sample. Samples were taken using proportional ramdom sampling. For collecting between 2 variable of this research, instrument used for variable X (Emotional Intelligence) and Y (Job Stress) with a Likert Scale. Variable X (Emotional Intelligence) instrumentwas measurmed by Wong-Law Emotional Intelligence (WLEIS). While variable Y (Job Stress) the reliability was 0,910. The analysis tes by finding regression equation, that is Y=98,39-0,725X. After that data normality test by using Liliefoers formula and the result is L =0.055, while Ltable for n = 110 in significanelevel 0,05 is = 0.084. Throgh L , so regression X and Y has normal distribution. The regression significance test and the result is, Fcount (59,01) > F (3,94), showing that regression is linear. Linearity test result obtained Ftable count = 1,04 and F =1,62. Because the value of Fcount <Ftable table so concluded that the linear regression equation. The result of Product Moment of correlationtest r = -0,594 continued by using correlation coeffient test with t-test. Counting result is, tcount count = -7,68 while t = -1,67 and so -tcount <-t table table . It means that there are significance and negative correlation between emotional intelligence and job stress. The result of these research concluded that there is a negative relationship between emotional intelligence with job stress of the employee. With a coeffient of determination or test result obtained by determining 35.33% of job stress (Y) is determined by emotional intelligence (X). Keywords: Job Stress, Emotional Intelligence
