Abstract

ABSTRACT Elisa Julianti Imani .The relationship between Motivation with Organizational Commitment to employee at PT. Margi Employees Jakarta. Thesis, Jakarta: Economics Education Studies Program, Concentration of Education Administrative Offices, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, in July 2012. This study aims to gain the proper knowledge (valid, true, valid) and can be trusted (dependable, reliable) as to whether there is a relationship between work motivation with organizational commitment at this employee . The research performed during one month starting from June 21 to July 31 of 2012. The method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The study population was all employees of PT. Rev. Margi many as 197 people, and affordable population of this study were employees in the production division by 70 people. The sample used by as many as 58 using a random technique proportional (proportional random sampling). Data variables X and Y in this study is the primary data. To obtain the data variable X (work motivation) and Y (organizational commitment) used a questionnaire-shaped instrument. Prior to use, made of construct validity (Construct Validity) through the validation process is the calculation of the correlation coefficient score points with the total score and reliability testing with. Cronbach Alpha formula. The results of the reliability of the instrument variable X (work motivation) of 0.798. While the organization's commitment to use a replica that has the reliability of Allen mayer 0.87 affective commitment, 0.75 commitment kontinuans, and 0.79 normative commitment. Test requirements analysis is performed by finding the regression equation obtained was Y = 59.14 + 0.460 X. The results of normality test lilliefors produce Lhitung = 0.065 whereas for n = 58 Ltabel at 0.05 significance level is 0.116. Because Lhitung <Ltabel the variables X and Y distributed normal. For regression significance test regression test the hypothesis by generating Fhitung (19.91)> Ftabel (4.02) which means the regression equation is significant. Testing linearity of regression produces Fhitung (1.16) <Ftabel (1.87) thus concluded that the linear regression equation. Product moment correlation coefficient test result rhitung = 0.512. continued by using correlations coefficient significance test with t-test, produce tcount (4.46)> TTable (1.67). The results of these studies concluded that there is a positive relationship between work motivation with organizational commitment. With a coefficient of determination or test results obtained 26.23% determinant of organizational commitment variable (Y) is determined by work motivation (X).
