Abstract

ABSTRACT GRACE YULIANTI. The Influence of Job Stress and Job Satisfaction on Performance of Employees at PT Artindo Grafika Printing, Bekasi. Concentration of Office Administration Education, Study Program of Economic Education, Department of Economic and administration, Faculty of Economic, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, January 2012. This research conducted to determine influence between Job Stress and Job Satisfaction to Performance of employees at PT Artindo Grafika Printing, Bekasi. This research used survey method with causality approach, and use secondary data (Employees’ Performance) and primary data (job satisfaction and job stress). The sampling technique that used in this research is proportional random sampling technique with 44 respondents as sample. Data account which used is SPSS 17.0. From the result of F – Test, found that job stress and job satisfaction simultaneously influence performance as seen from F count (256.557) > (3.226 ) andit also seen from its significance 0,000. Then partially, job stress has T count (-2.117) < -T (-1.683). That means that job stress has a significant negative effect on performance. In the other hand, job satisfaction has T tabel (10.305) > T (1.683). It means that job satisfaction has significant positive effect on performance. Besides that, path coefficient of job stress on performance equal to 0.028 which means job stress has contribution on performance 2,8%. Path coefficient for job satisfaction is 0.817 which means job satisfaction has contribution on performance 66.7%. Path coefficient job stress to job satisfaction equals to 0.847, so path coefficient job stress on performance indirectly by job satisfaction is 0.662. Which means job stress has contribution on performance indirectly by job satisfaction 47,2%. Total path coefficient job stress toward performance is 0.74, it means the total contribution of job stress on performance is 74%.
