Abstract

ABSTRACT HESTI HERMINIATI. The Correlation between Self Efficacy and Job Satisfaction with The Performance of Employees at Central Office of PT Wijaya Karya Beton. Study Program of Economic Education, Concentration of Office Administration Education, Department of Economic and Administration, Faculty of Economic, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, July 2011 This research is held to know the influence between self efficacy and job satisfaction with performance of employees at central office of PT Wijaya Karya Beton. This research conducted at central office of PT Wijaya Karya Beton for three months from April to June 2011. This research use survey method with the correlation approaching. The sample which is used in this research are 44 respondents. The sampling technique which is used is proportional random sampling technique. The data account processing which is used in this research is SPSS 17.0. The instrument which is used to obtain self efficacy data (X ) is questionnaire that measured using a Likert scale and the reliability results obtained for 0.838. The instrument which is used to obtain self job satisfaction (X 1 ) is questionnaire that measured using a Likert scale and the reliability results obtained for 0.843. The performance data (Y) obtained from secondary data from performance appraisal of employees at central office of PT Wijaya Karya Beton. Requirements analysis test is started with normality test using the Kolmogorov Smirnov obtained the value of X 2 , Y, and Residual > 0,05 and from Normal Probability Plot results known that data spread around the diagonal line and follow the direction of a diagonal line that means all data have normal distribution. The linearity test which is used is test of linearity found that linearity values of self efficacy (X ) and job satisfaction (X ) 0,000 < 0,05 that means the regression which is used in this research is linear. The multiple regression equation is Y = 61,161 + 0,133 X + 0,066 X 2. 2 From the results of F test, known that self efficacy and job satisfaction simultaneously have influence to the performance, it can be seen from F count (20,551) > F (3,226). Then, partially, self efficacy variable has t count (3,795) > t table table (1,683). That means that self efficacy has a significant positive effect to the performance. Job satisfaction variable has t (2,526) > t (1,683). That means that job satisfaction has significant positive effect to the performance. In additional, the value of R table 2 is 0,501, it means that performance can be explained by self efficacy and job satisfaction in the amount 50,1% and the remain which is 49,9% can be affected by another variable.
