Abstract

ABSTRACT FRANS NELLY TAMBA. The Effect Commitment and Motivation To Performance of The Employee Kadin DKI Jakarta. Scientific Paper, Jakarta: Concentration of Office Administration Study, Program of Economics Education, Depertement Economics Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, January 2013. The study aims to determine whether there is effect commitment and motivation to performance of the employee Kadin DKI Jakarta and also to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to prove it. The research has been done for three months since January until March 2013. The method of this research is survey. The population research was all employee of KADIN DKI Jakarta as much as 61 employees. And the sample used as many 51 employees by using simple random sampling. Data variabel Y (performance) is a secondary data obtained from performance appraisal January until February 2013. And have ten indicator, they are personal qualities, good make decisions, timeless, discipline, comunication, responbility, cooperation, iniatiative, creativeness, and honesty. While data variable X1 (commitment) obtained from result of instrument and was measured using a Likert scale. For data X2 (motivation) obtained from result of instrument and was measured using a Likert scale. After that, tested the validity of consrtuct trough the validation process and reliability testing to Alpha Cronbach. The results of the reliability of instrument variabel variable X1 (commitment) of 0.895 and variable X2 (motivation) of 0.879. Techniques of data analysis using SPSS 17 begins to finding the test requirements analysis test for normality using Kolmogrov Smirnov method and obtained X1 , X2 and Y and residual is 0,200 which are all more than 0,05 then the data are normally distributed. Linearity test can be seen from the output results test of Linearity at 0,05 significance level. Linearity test result X1 (commitment) to Y (performance) of 0,000 which is less than the 0,05, it can be concluded the data X1 (commitment) to Y (performance) has a linear relationship. Then the result of linearity test X2 (motivation) to Y (performance) of 0,003 which is less than the 0,05 it can be concluded that the data X 2 (motivation) to Y (performance) also has a relationship linearly. Then look for the classic assumptions test the multicollinearity and heteroskedastisitas. A good regression model requires the absence of multicollinearity and heteroskedastisitas. The results obtained are the Tolerance value of 0,919 which means more than 0,1 and the variance inflation factor (VIF) 1,088 which means less than 10. Thus, it can be concluded that in the regression model didn’t occur multicollinearity. Then look for the heterokedastisitas test. Agood reggression model required the absence of heteroskedastisitas problem. Significance value X1 (commitment) for 0,198 > 0,05and the significance of X2 (motivation) for 0,731 > 0,05. Since the significance value of more than 0,05 then the regression model didn’t occurd heteroskedastisitas. Regression equation obtained is Y= 43,261 + 0,269X 1 + 0,180X2 . Test the hypothesis that the F in ANOVA table produceds F coun t (16,198) > Ftab (3,19) this menas that X1 (Commitment) and X2 (motivation) simultaneously affect the Y (performance). T test produce tcount of X1 (commitment) is 4,077 and tcount of X2 (motivation) is 2,647 and ttab is a 2,011. Because tcount more than t tab it can be concluded that there is a positive effect on the commitment to performance and motivation to performance. Then a coefficient of determination of test result obtained 40,3%, which means the variable Y (performance) determined by X1 (commitment) and X2 (motivation). So the conclusion of the research have shown that there is a possitive and significance effect between commitment to performance, and also motivation to performance, and then there is a possitive and significance effect between commitment and motivation to performance of employee KADIN DKI Jakarta.
