Abstract
ABSTRACT MITA PURNAWATI. The Influence Between Role Conflict and Role Ambiguity With Performance on Employees at PT Taspen (Persero). Scientific Paper, Jakarta: Concentration of Office Administration Study Program of Economics Education, Department Economics Administration, Faculty of Economic, State University of Jakarta, October 2012. The study aims to determine whether there is influence between role conflict and role ambiguity with on employees at PT Taspen (Persero) and also to get a valid and reliable data or fact, to prove it. The research has been done for three months since July until September 2012. The method of this research is survey method with causalitas approach. The population research was all employees from PT Taspen (Persero) as much as 404 employees. And affordable population of this study is a Human Research Development which amounts to 94 employees. The sample used as many as 75 employees by using proportional random sampling. Data from the variable Y (performance) in this research is secondary data obtained from the results of performance assessment quarterly 3 with data output of the period July to September 2012. While the data variable X1 (role conflict) obtained from result of instrument and was measured using a Likert scale. For data X2 (role ambiguity) obtained from result of instrument and was measured using a Likert scale. Afther that, tested the validity of construct through the validation process of calculating the correlation coefficient score points with a total score and reliability testing with Alpha Cronbach. The results of the reliability of the instrument variable X1 (role conflict) of 0,708 and variable X2 (role ambiguity) 0,912. Techniques of data analysis using SPSS begins with finding the test requirements analysis test for normality using the Kolmogrov Smirnov method and obtained X 1 , X2, and Y and residual is 0,200 which are all more than the 0,05 then the data are normally distributed. Linearity test can be seen from the output results Test of Linearity at 0,05 significance level. Linearity tets results X1 (role conflict) with Y (performance) of 0,000 which is less than the 0,05, it can be concluded the data X1 (role conflict) with Y (performance) has a linear relationship. Then the result of linearity test X 2 (role ambiguity) with Y (performance) of 0,000 which is less than the 0,05 it can be concluded that the data X 2 (role ambiguity) with Y (performance) also has a relationship linearly. Then look for the classic assumptions test the multicollinearity and heteroskedastisitas. A good regression model requires the absence of multicollinearity and heteroskedastisitas. The results obtained are the Tolerance values of 0,946 which means more than 0,1 and the Variance Inflation Factor (VIF) 1,057 which means less than 10. Thus, it can be concluded that in the regression model didn’t occur multicollinearity. Then look for the heteroskedastisitas test with a Glejser test. A good regression model requires the absence of heteroskedastisitas problem. Significance value X1 (role conflict) for 0,515>0,05 and the significance of X 2 (role ambiguity) for 0,053>0,05. Since the significance value of more than 0.05 then the regression model didn’t occur heteroskedastisitas. Regression equation obtained is Y=105,036 - 0,432 X1 - 0,196 X2. T test produce t count of X 1 (role conflict) is -4,419 and tcount of X 2 (role ambiguity) is -4,846 and ttable is 1,666. Because tcount less than ttable it can be concluded that there is a negative influence on the role conflict with a performance and role ambiguity with a performance. Test the hypothesis that the F test in ANOVA table produces F count (27,996) > F table (3,12) this means that X1 (role conflict) and X2 (role ambiguity) simultaneously affect the Y (performance). Then a coefficient of determination of test results obtained 43,7%, which means that variable Y (performance) determined by X 1 (role conflict) and X 2 (role ambiguity) simultaneously. The conclusion of the research have shown that there is a negative and significance influence between role conflict with performance, an role ambiguity with performance, and then there is a negative and significance influence between role conflict and role ambiguity with performance on employees at PT Taspen (Persero).
