Abstract

ABSTRACT UShella Novayanti Indah Sari. 8105132155. The Effect of Library Utilization and Interpersonal Communication on Student Learning Outcomes of SMK Sejahtera JakartaU. Thesis, Jakarta: Economic Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University. 2017. This study aims to determine whether there is influence of library utilization and interpersonal communication to student learning outcomes SMK Sejahtera Jakarta. This research was conducted since February 2017 until May 2017. This research used survey method with quantitative approach. The population in this study is all students of SMK Sejahtera Jakarta with the inaccessible population of X class students Department of Administration Office, Accounting, and Multimedia. The sampling technique was using proportional random technique, with the number of research samples were 172 respondents. Data collection techniques used survey techniques and questionnaires. Data analysis technique performed is test requirement analysis consisted of test of normality and test of linearity, test of classical assumption, multiple linear regression test, hypothesis test consist of F test and t test. Based on the results of the analysis known that there is influence between the use of libraries and learning outcomes where the value of t Rcount of 3.369> value tRtable 1.653. Then it is known there is influence between interpersonal communication and learning outcomes where from the tc count R of 6.984> value tRtable R 1.653. The use of libraries and interpersonal communication simultaneously affect the learning outcomes, it can be seen from the results of data showing F count R value of 46.183> Ftable R value of 3.05. The regression equation obtained is Y = 31.190 + 190X1 + 0.249X2. Based on the determination coefficient test obtained value R2 0.353 which means the utilization of library (X1) and interpersonal communication (X2) have a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes (Y) of 35.3%. So there is a positive and significant influence between library utilization and interpersonal communication on learning outcomes. The lowest indicator of library utilization is the intensity and for the lowest indicator of interpersonal communication is the low sense of empathy of the teacher to the students. So that the school should be able to increase student activity in the library and also improve the empathy of the teacher to the students both in class both in the process of learning in class and activity Which is done outside the classroom.
