Abstract
ABSTRACT NUARITA ASTUTI. The Influence Between Self Concept and Learning Motivation With Academic Achievement at SMKN 1 West Cikarang. Scientific Paper, Jakarta: Study Program of Economic Aducation, Concentration of Office Administration Education, Economics and Administration Department, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, February 2012. This study aims to determine whether there is the influence between self concept and learning motivation with achievement at student SMKN 1 West Cikarang. The study was conducted over three months from November to January 2012. The research method used is survey method with the causality approach. The study population was all students of SMK Negeri 1 West Cikarang as much as 1.504 students, and affordable population of this study is a class XI student of machining techniques, automotive engine, and computer network engineering which amounts to 148 students. The sample used as many as 105 students by using proportional random sampling. Data variable academic achievement is a secondary data obtained from the value of a class XI student report cards at the third semester school year 2011/2012. While the data variable self concept questionnaire-shaped instrument used. For the data variable learning motivation questionnaire-shaped instrument used. Prior to use, tested the validity of construct (construct validity) through the validation process of calculating the correlation coefficient score points with a total score and reliability testing with alpha cronbach. The results of the reliability of the instrument variable self concept of 0.825 and variable learning motivation of 0.887. Techniques of data analysis using SPSS 17.0 begins with finding the test requirements analysis test for normality using the Kolmogorov Smirnov method and obtained values of self concept is 0,200 learning motivation is 0,200, Academic achievement is 0,200, and residual is 0.065 which are all more than the 0.05 then the data are normally , distributed. Linearity test can be seen from the output results Test of Linearity at 0.05 significance level. Linearity test results self concept with academic achievement of 0.001 which is less than the 0.05, it can be concluded the data self concept with academic achievement) has a linear relationship. Then the results of linearity test learning motivation) with academic achievement of 0.002 which is less than the 0.05, it can be concluded the data learning motivation) with academic achievement also has a relationship linearly. Stuctural equation obtained is Y= 0,305 X 1 + 0,284 X 2 + 0,904 e. Test the hypothesis that the F test in ANOVA table produces F count (11,357) > F table (3.09), this means that self concept) and learning motivation simultaneously affect the academic is 1.66 and t achievement. T test produce t count count of self concept) is (3,401) > t of learning motivation) is (3,162) > t table. is 1.66. Because t table. count > t table, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence on the self concept and learning motivation with academic achievement. The results of these studies concluded that there is a positive influence between self concept and learning motivation with academic achievement. Then a coefficient of determination of test results obtained 18,2%, variable academic achievement determined by self concept and learning motivation.
