Abstract
ABSTRACT FITRIAWATI. The Relationship Between Interpersonal Communication With Employees In Performance At PT PLN (Persero) Office Jakarta and Tangerang Distribution. Scientific Paper, Jakarta: Study Program Economics Education. Concentration of Office Administration Education. Economics and Administration Department. Faculty of Economics. State University of Jakarta, 2012. This research aims to determine whether there is a relationship between interpersonal communication with the employees in the performance of PT PLN (persero) Office Jakarta and Tangerang distribution. The research was conducted over two months, starting in May until July 2012. The method of this research is survey method with the correlational approach. The populations of this research was all employees of PT PLN (persero) Office Jakarta and Tangerang distribution of as many as 305 people, and affordable populations of this research is an employee who worked on the planning that around 60 people with 51 people as sample, according to level of error 5%. Samples were taken using simple random technique. For the data performance (variable Y) used secondary data obtained from the Human Resources PT PLN (Limited) Office Jakarta and Tangerang distribution. Interpersonal communication research while variable (variable X) used an instrument with a Likert Scale. Before the X variables used instruments, construct validity tested through the validation process is the calculation of the correlation coefficient score points with the total score and reliability testing with Cronbach Alpha formula. Reliability of the results of the variable X item (Interpersonal Communication) is 0.910. This proves that the variable X has a high reliability. Test analysis test by finding the regression equation, that is Y = 36.87+0.386X. The results of normality test lilliefors produce L = 0.050 in significant level 0,05 and L table = 0.124. So L count < L table Count mean that the mistake of prediction regression Y to X has normal distribution. For regression significance test and result is, F count (17.27) > F (4.04). Showing that, it has significance regression. While regression linearity test, F (1.70) < F (2.05), showing that regression linier. Product moment correlation coefficient calculation result r table continued by using correlation coefficient significance test with t-test. Counting result is, t count (4.16) > T (1.68), it means that there are significance and positive correlations between interpersonal communication and performance of the employee. Beside that, the result of determination coefficient test is 26.06%, it means table that performance variable determined by 26.06% interpersonal communication variable. The conclusion of the research have shown that there is a positive correlations between interpersonal communication and performance with employee at PT PLN (Persero) office Jakarta and Tangerang distribution.
