Abstract

ADINDA MAYA NOVIANTI. The Correlation between the Principal Leadership Style and Work Environment TowardsJob Satisfaction’s Accounting Teacher In PubllicVocational High School East Jakarta. Thesis. Faculty of Economics. UniversitasNegeri Jakarta , 2014. This study aimed to obtain information and knowledge based on data and facts that affect relationships and the principal's leadership style work environment on job satisfaction accounting teacher at SMK East Jakarta. The method used is the method quantitative correlation survey approach. The population in this study were all teachers at SMK East Jakarta accounting some 33 people, with a sampling technique that studies the sample is saturated, by making the population as a sample. This study uses primary data, by spreading questionnaire the sample to obtain the required data. Regression equation in this study is Y = 2.231 +0.536 X1 + 0,431 X2. The results of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality test states that the data are normally distributed. Testing hypotheses with regression test produces F_arithmetic> F_table or 4.997> 3.316 then the relationship of leadership style and work environment together affect the job satisfaction of teachers. The calculations show that the variable T_arethmetic leadership style of 2.175 and T_arithmetic working environment variable of 2.643, with provision for 2,042 T_table. T_arithmetic> T_table then Ho was rejected so the conclusion is the leadership style and work environment positively and significantly related to job satisfaction partially. Correlation coefficient test produces R_arithmetic are 0,500. These results prove that there is a positive relationship between principal leadership style and work environment on job satisfaction of teachers.The results are consistent with the opinions expressed by Gibson (2009), and Seashore (2013). That leadership style and work environment have a relationship to job satisfaction.
