Abstract

The purpose of this study are: 1) Empirically test the influence of sensation seeking to motivation on Komodo Island. 2) Empirically test the influence of attitude to motivation on Komodo Island. 3) Empirically test the influence of motivation to visit intention on Komodo Island. 4) Empirically test the influence of sensation seeking to visit intention on Komodo Island. 5) Empirically test the effect of attitude to visit intention on Komodo Island. 6) Empirically test the subjective norm to visit intention on Komodo Island. Methods of data collection using survey method with the instrument in the form of questionnaire. Objects in this study are things that make potential tourists interested or not interested to visit the island of Komodo. The subjects in this study are the people who are located around the Sudirman office area, Central Jakarta, who have visiting and never visiting Komodo Island before, with a sample of 300 samples. Technical analysis of data using AMOS version 21 and SPSS version 24 to process and analyze data research results. The result of hypothesis test show: (1) sensation seeking have positive influence and significant effect to motivation, with result of testing CR 2,973> 2.00 and P 0.003 <0.05 which means first hypothesis accepted, (2) attitude have positive influence and significant effect to motivation, with result of CR test 3.227 > 2.00 and P 0.001 <0.05 which means the second hypothesis is accepted, (3)motivation has no effect and no significant effect on the intention of visiting on Komodo Island, with CR -0.281 <2.00 and P 0.778> 0.05 which means the third hypothesis is rejected, (4) sensation seeking has a positive influence and significant effect on the intention of visiting on Komodo Island, with CR 3.095> 2.00 and P 0.002 <0.05which means the fourth hypothesis is accepted, (5)attitude has no effect and no significant effect towards the intention of visiting on Komodo Island, CR test of 0.196 <2.00 and P 0.884> 0.05 which means the fifth hypothesis is rejected. And (6) subjective norm have positive influence and significant effect to visit intention to Komodo Island, with result of test of C.R 2,396> 2.00 and P 0.017 <0.05 which means sixth hypothesis accepted.
